Real Consulting specialises in Local and Regional Economic Development consulting,
socio-economic research, capacity building, facilitation and strategic planning.
THE COMPANY
We provide a range of strategic economic planning, development facilitation and project packaging services in economic sectors including tourism, natural resources, forestry, general community development and agriculture. In respect of social consulting, Real Consulting provides institutional design and development, facilitation and mediation services, stakeholder liaison, organisational development and process management. Capacity building services offered are mostly associated with Economic and Social Development activities.

WHO WE ARE
Dominic Mitchell and Luci Coelho have extensive experience internationally, spanning the period from 1994 until the present. Between them, they have gathered experience within a range of economically and socially active organisations, including the Independent Electoral Commission, the National Peace Accord, the Consultative Business Movement and Interface Africa. In 1999, they pooled their skills to create Fakisandla Consulting now trading as Real Consulting. In addition to the core team, they have a diverse range of associates and sub-consultants with whom they have strong delivery-based relationships.
HOW WE WORK
At Real Consulting, we believe that the basis of successful planning lies in the appropriate combination of empirical research with participatory methodologies. We use planning techniques that are at the cutting edge of international best practice. It is our experience that mobilised stakeholders deliver most effectively, and economic plans and social processes developed in close association with stakeholders are understood, owned and appropriate. Development and change initiatives almost always generate challenges, which often escalate into conflict. Our skill lies in our capacity to bring together innovative economic thinking with the appropriate people and facilitating communication and processes to achieve sustainable progress.
